S to look contented like a cow just how

j there seems to be mistaken idea

Ranis Score 19-14
Against Paris Junior
Texas Weslevan Rams pushed over
two touchdowns in the first ten
| minutes of play to defeat the Paris
j Junior Dragons by t he score of 19
; to 14.
; The Rams first mark, r was scored
i by Milt Isbeli, who circled his own
right end for ten yards and 'the
score. '1 lie ball was placed on the
i ten yard strip after beautiful runs
| by Splawn, Davis, Gracey, and Milt
flsbell. After Milt carried the ball
I over he also kicked the extra point.
| The second score was made in
] less than two minutes'after the first
lone. The Rams kicked to-the Dra-
gons, who were forced to punt on
the third down. Milt Isbeli caught
the ball on his own thirty-five and
letuined it to the fifty. On the next
play he threw a pass to Bray who
j caught it. on the thirty yard line.
Bray then out ran the last man the
remaining twenty yards for the
marker. Milt Isbeli failed to make
the kick good on the try for extra
point. ' «v j<
The Dragons first points came
when their end, Felly, tackled Mc-
Carty behind the goal line, and the
half ended soon afterwards with the
Rams in t he lead 15 to 2.
Both the teams scored in the
third quarter. The Dragons made
their score first, when Ewing passed
twenty yards to Ivie, who raced over
for the touchdown. The Rams made
theirs not: long afterwards when a
pass to Gantt was good for twenty-
| five yards and placed the ball on the
j 20 yard line. On the next Stroud
| went thru the middle of the line for
| a gain of seventeen yards. On the
I second play afterwards Splawn made
! the remaining three yards for the
| score. The kick was wide.
j The Dragons scored again on the
| last play of the game when a pass,
| Ewing to Felly, was good for ten
j yards and a score. The kick was no
! good and the game ended with the
i score 19 to 14.
Hall Splawn and Milt' Isbeli were
! the stand-outs in the Rams backfield.
■Splawn made some beautiful runs of
30 and 50 yards. Once he got thru
I the entire Dragon outfit, only to be
| nulled down from behind after a
1 gain of 50 yards. Milt also made
■some good runs and his thirty yard
! pass to Bray was good for the Rams
| second touchdown. Davis, starling
| at fullback, was ripping Dragons line
! wide open for gains of six and seven
• yards at a time. Stroud, Graqey and
' McCarty turned in fine performances
| in the back field also.
I:: tie line Bray was Hie Rams
I best bet. Bray was all over the
| field making tackles. He was also a
■ standout on the passes,' Rolen was
I another who was knocking down
I enemies passe:, and getting tackles at
the line of scrimmage. Armstrong,
i Gantt, Randolph, Wilkinson, and
i Livingstone also turned good games
for the winners in the line.
