Letter from Walter Gresham, Sr. to Miss Lorraine concerning the prospective marriage of her and Thomas Dew Gresham. Walter discusses his hope that they do go through with the marriage and tells her that she "will find [Thomas] ambitious, honorable, energetic and domestic in his tastes and habits." He repeatedly expresses his admiration for her and the future for her and his son.
