Big Lake Pharmacy owner
busy getting acquainted
New Big Lake pharmacist Bruce
Hagmann has been busy getting ac-
quainted with his customers since
August 1st when he bought the
Parkview Pharmacy from Steve and
Sylvia Smith of McCamey.
Hagmann has changed the name of
his business to Big Lake Pharmacy.
Hagmann moved his family here
from Fredericksburg, Texas. They
include his wife, Nancy; daughter,
Lillian, 17, a senior at Reagan
County High School; Ruth, 10, a
sixth grader at Reagan County
Middle School and Christopher, 9, a
fifth grader in Reagan County El-
ementary.
Hagmann graduated from
Rutgers University School of Phar-
macy in Newark, New Jersey in
1967. The family has lived in
Fredericksburg nearly 20 years. He
commented, "Our daughter Lillian,
was born in Fredericksburg on
January 1, 1980, and will be 21 on
January 1,2001." He said, "The past
few years I've been a migrant, serv-
ing as pharmacist in Lampasas,
Floresville, San Antonio, Center
Point and Kerrville, and before that
in Fredericksburg."
"It took me 50+ years to find a
place like Big Lake, but I never quit
looking until I found it."
The Hagmanns are settled in
their home at 1305 Pecan Grove. He
has already joined the Reagan
County Lions Club. The pharmacy
is open from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00
p.m. Monday through Friday to
serve its customers and is happy to
deliver your prescriptions.
Hagmann said, "We are small,
but if we don't have what you need
in stock, we can have it by lunch the
next day, so there is no need to shop
for your health care needs outside of
Big Lake." He adds, "Come by and
let's get acquainted.”

TIME
It's weightless and colorless,
You can't see it or taste it.
It's odorless and you can't stop it.
And we are prone to waste it.
It's irreversible and you can't hear it.
It's relentless and seems to slip away.
What we planned for tomorrow,
Tomorrow suddenly becomes today.
We can't feel it, but we feel its effects
As it marches relentlessly on,
With each tick of the clock,
Another second, minute and hour is gone.
We really can't divide it,
Though we have many ways to measure it.
And as we grow older in years,
We quite often seem to treasure it.
How many eons have there been
And how many will there be?
Scientists have their guesses,
But no two of them will agree!
With each day that we live,
Don’t be anxious about the rest of it,
Time is just one of those things,
So let's just make the best of it!
