The order for continuance in the
sequestration suits of the Texas and
Pacific and El Paso and Southwest-
ern railroad companies was filed yes-
terday by Judge Maxey.
In one of the ouster cases. No. 443,
Texas and Pacific railroad company
vs. Monica Velasquez et a Is, final’
judgment was given, disclaimers of
the detendants being submitted. The
provision was carried with the order
of the court however, that no process
lie issued or served until further or-
der of the court. In the rest of the
sequestration suits, it was ordered
that a _continuance be granted, with
the same restriction.
The suit of Augusltna Onteviras vs.
the El Paso Electric Railway com-
panv for damages was on trial all day
vesterday. The case was given to
he Jury at a late hour tn the after-
noon, and a verdict for $J.600 was
returned last night for the plaintiff.
In this suit damages were asked for
the loss of an arm. sustained by the
negligence of employes or toe street
railway company.

Marcos Batdazo Suicided by Jumping

Mexican Centra! Train.
Marcos Baldazo, traveling compan-
ion to Ranulfo Pina, of Ocampo, Ta-
malipas, Mexico, committcR suicide by
jumping from the window of the north
bound Mexican Central passenger
train, which arrived In El Paso yester-
day morning.
Baldazo was en route from Ocampo
io Guaymas with the ten-year-old boy.
Ranulfo Pina, and Is is supposed ihat
in a temporary moment of insanity
he jumped through the window of the
coach in whioh the two were seated.
The bodv of Baldazo was picked up
at kilometer post 1869, just north of
Chihuahua. In a satchel belonging to
the dead man, found on the seat of the
car, was *75. Consul Mallen, who was
a passenger on the train, took the hoy
in charge and brought him to Juarez.
The lad will he sent to Guaymas as
soon as the necessary depositions and
testimony are taken. He is on his way
to join an unrie who is a member of
the federal troops at that, place.

Mutiny in Russian Prison.
Riga. Russia. April 13.—During a
mutiny tn the prison today 33 inmates
overcame the wardens. Troops were
