Notes

After serving in the Navy during WWI, J. R. Rogers returned to Dublin and worked for J. F. Edmonds for a few months. Then he bought a photograph studio in Cisco in May, 1921. By then the oil boom that had begun in Ranger had spread west to Cross Plains and from Breckenridge to Hogtown (Desdemona). He advertised as an oil field photographer and this collection has pictures made in Pioneer and Cross Plains. He sold that studio and bought one in Breckenridge in 1923.
