Notes

The front of the building was added to the old county jail building in 1913. Sheriff Gilbreath and his family lived in the Sheriff's quarters of the jail building from 1883 to 1887, when he served two terms as Sheriff of Erath County. Sheriff Gilbreath was the grandfather of Dossie (Gilbreath) Rogers.
