MARGARET BERRY says its hard to trade at

Nor did she find one in Ralls. So she'll look in
Lnbbock.
This Is what the Cotton Club has told us re-

when they go to market. . .and they don't un-

On the way to the White River Lake there's
a spot just covered with prairie dogs. It's In a
low-lying lake bed on the west side of the
highway and the little creatures were standing
up all over the field Sunday afternoon.
Understand there's a market for them for
soos and C.F. Fie mi ns has now captured sev-

This reminded the Amarillo brother-in-law,
ELBIE STOCKTON, of a time yean back when
he and some other* filled up one of those
big water tanks with thousands of gallons of
water to drown out a field full of prairie dogs.
MEB GIVENS was going to catch one and was
wearing gloves, but the peskey little fellow caught
him between the thumb and forefinger and Its
teeth went right through the gloves. Elhlc said
the prairie dog was put down tight away . . .
about ?0 feet away.
