The College Moves Forward
For many years it has been the desire of the Board
of Trustees to establish a Graduate School at Abilene
Christian College. The way is clear now and before the
year is out the college will be offering fully accredited
graduate work in Bible and Education. With the beginning
of the Graduate School in June, 1953, the Board
believes the college will enter a new era of expanded
service to the youth of the nation.
B SHERROD
President of the Board of Trustees
The establishment of the Graduate School at Abilene
Christian College is an important step in the sound
growth which the College has experienced since its
founding in 1906. The school was established to meet
the needs for Christian education, and the development
of the Graduate School is another response to that
need. We will no longer have to turn away our own
young people who want to stay here on the campus and
pursue their graduate studies. This extension of our
teaching program is an indication of the maturity
which Abilene Christian College has achieved and
places it on a sound footing with other schools of the
nation which offer graduate work.
DON H. MORRIS
President of the College
