They wear the customary uniform of the American Expeditionary Forces, with most of the enlisted men wearing leg wraps or spiral puttees; the officers wear leather puttees. Mooney is located on the front row, 17th from the left. Third row from the bottom, first person on the left is Philip Reynolds Sweetman from Las Animas, Colorado. Thomas Gustave Mellberg is on the third row, thirteenth from the left.
