Notes

"Description of Photo: First Presbyterian Church orchestra. Church had an orchestra many years in earlier days. Membership varied as membership of church varied. Orchestra played for Sunday School, special occasions, gave frequent concerts to raise money for various causes - church and civic. Mrs. J. L. Brown (nee Jewel Newton, pianist-organist for the church many years and Jacksonville music teacher) is second from left. Note that the pianist apparently also played baritone horn, which is atop piano. Identity of others unknown."
