Notes

"Description of Photo: College dormitory room. Labeled "Cell No. 10, Cumberland University, Cumberland, Tenn." - was dormitory room of Miss Mozelle Newton of Jacksonville when she was student in that university. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Newton, among those in the McKee migration from Tennessee to Larissa northwest of Jacksonville. Newton family moved to Jacksonville in 1882 when he established general merchandise firm. Newton home was at N. Ragsdale & Cherokee Sts., present site of Fina service station,w as one of the finest home in area."
