Railroad survey crew posing with survey instruments, c. 1902. Members of the Chicago, Rock Island, and Gulf survey crew that prepared a ten-mile stretch of track between Dallas and Ft. Worth pose in their camp in coats and ties. C. P. Schulze, brother of crew foreman J. O. Schulze, is standing second from the right. J. O. Schulze co-founded the town of Irving in 1903.
