Item text: "Army Specialized Training Program The Army of the United States hereby certifies that Elmer A. Curry has completed satisfactorily the course of study in European Area & Language Curriculum No. 71 (Spanish) pursued at Pomona College, Claremont, California. His training was completed on 4 March 1944. the record of his performance is available, on request by appropriate authority, for the purpose of determining his academic credit. Margaret Maple for certifying institution registrar, Pomona College, By order of the Secretary of War: Raymond C. Baird Commandant Colonel, Infantry U.S. Army".

Printed on the reverse: "Term Numbers Completed: 4-5-6 Curriculum Number: 71".
