The First Baptist Church of Rockwall (FBCR) is the oldest congregation in the Dallas Baptist Association. Organized in 1852 as the New Hope Baptist Church, this institution holds records that highlight developments in religious teaching, ideology, and practice and of the community the church serves. These materials reflect the growth and community of Rockwall, Texas through the eyes of one of its earliest churches.
