Notes

Text: “Saturday afternoon. My Precious Own — Again today I missed that letter so much. Please, sweetheart, do you know how much they mean to me? Two more days till the first exam, two more weeks till the last. And believe me, I must be getting scared — staying home and not going swimming on a Saturday afternoon! But you know I believe you study better during the early stages of fright anyhow. No, I don’t think I’ll bust anything unless I’m mighty unlucky, but I would like to be able to make an A in one course anyhow. “Grumpy” was real good, only I missed the usual cigar stuck in one corner of his mouth! Has it been to Austin yet? I’ll bet they’re having big doings there now with all the home coming and anniversary celebration. Ted Terry went up and my, I surely did want to go with him — tried to get in his suitcase but couldn’t quite make it! Hope I hear from you tomorrow — wish we could take supper out somewhere together — say Onion Creek — remember that time? My regards to your mother this mother’s day, I know she’s proud of her daughters. Your own, Felix.”
