Notes

Text: "Monday night. My Sweet heart - -I kinda looked for a letter yesterday, but -- I enjoyed the one today. My, I know you had a good time at Dripping Springs -- I am just living to get to go on some such similar expedition with you -- and believe me I'm leaving here the way that will get me home the quickest. Robert Lee Gowan's sister is coming down from Austin -- she's a Chi Omega there, I think -- and he is surely trying all sorts of inducements to get me to stay over and join their party and take her. I would like to very much -- but I can think of so many places I'd rather be -- with you. Saw "Bella Donna" last night, but didn't particularly care for it. Then we came on out and tried to study. You know it's mighty hard to start reviewing when the exam is still over a week off -- and we didn't do much last night, but I'm going to start tonight and hit 'em right on thru -- for three weeks. Made a B on the last anatomy quiz. We had a practical this afternoon in parasitology and were given three blood smears to diagnose for malaria, benign tertian, and sleeping sickness. I found the trypanosomes easily (sleeping sickness genus) but I hunted for and [sic] hour and a half trying to differentiate between the two malarias -- and believe me gaging [sic] thru a microscope that long straight nearly tired my eyes out -- and my eyes give me less trouble than nearly anybodies. Sweetheart, if you should fail to get a letter now and then for the next week or so, please don't be too disappointed, but remember I love you every bit of the time and am bound straight for Austin and you just as soon as it's over. I love you. Kiss me real real sweet and I'll go mail this. Your own, Felix."
