Notes

Text: "Saturday morning 11 A.M. My Very Own -- All thru!! Whoopeeee! And came tearing home from the last one this morning to find your sweet letter -- I guess I didn't enjoy it!! I love you -- my how I love you. Yes, it was just that pretty here last night, and it was so hard to keep your thoughts on study. But we managed to do it until about 2 A.M., then turned in. Had Materia Med today, and I believe I did about B worth on it. Sweetheart, I enjoyed your special so much yesterday noon. I came home from that histology exam and look for a letter from you, but none was there; I came up stairs to make out a check, then started to turn, and met the boy at the gate with your letter -- and read it all the way to town. Yes, this Buttes boy seems to be indeed very fortunate -- how I do wish I had the where-with-all to comfortably have such luxuries here with me -- but it is really not a very attractive life for the wife of a student here. Mrs. Johnson seems to be very happy, but I know she gets extremely bored sometimes. I love you, sweetheart -- my how I do wish I could kiss you "like the dickens" -- how well I could do that! But sweet too. I don't think I'll wrote the folks I'm coming up Mar. 2nd and surprise them -- anyway I'm afraid they'd think I ought not to cut that one day of school. You know what? That's only a little over three weeks off! A bunch of the upperclassmen finished their exams yesterday -- and you should have seen 'em -- rather you should not have seen them -- around here last night they were having one more hellacious time -- and several of them lit to the girls! And now we're thru, too!! -- But that doesn't spell liquor. We are planning to see a Majestic -- but it's raining right now, so I don't know whether he'll want to go out. Hope he does, we're certainly going to finish the matter. Sweetheart all these freshmen are [...]ing in here and holding one of their "port mort[...]" so I can hardly think. Excuse this crazy letter -- the racket in here is fierce. I love you, you only, you always. Your Own ever Felix."
