Notes

Text: "Tuesday noon. Dearest -- My, you had me all worried telling me about that been date you had had! Yes, I really did almost think you must have been trifling on me. How I did wish I could have been with you that same night. It was only a week ago tonight that I could hold you, and did hold you, and yet it seems like a month. I surely do hope you can find that address in Houston, for as you will see from the schedule I am enclosing, that I could get off at noon Saturday, and would not have to come back till the last interurban Sunday night. My, anything like that would seem almost too good to be true! They have started piling on the work, and soon I will have to be studying nearly every spare minute. You can't imagine how much there is to know about every little bone in the body; we've spent t[wo] days on the hip bone, (the os coxae) and they have been two full days, too. There are pickled bodies, skeletons, and all sorts of dissections all around the lecture room -- and the atmosphere is anything but pleasant to the unaccustomed olfactory senses. No, I sleep in another room with three other boys, but study and have all my things in here with Charlie and Hardwicke. There are only about 15 boys here in the house, but about 27 or 28 in the chapter. "Please always be good" -- I appreciate that very much, and if you love me and trust me, I could want no better stimulant or inspiration to be good. I love you always. Must run to town real quick, then back to work. my best regards to your folks, but every bit of my love to you, Yours only Felix."
