October 31 "THE SWINGING STRINGS" A Houston based group of musicians present the special
program today. Refreshments will be served.
November 7 United States Election Day 2000! Make sure and cast your vote today...It DOES
count! Then join us for our Monthly Luncheon and Games Day.....play Bingo for prizes, or just enjoy
the fellowship...Bring a salad or casserole to share and we'll provide tea, bread and dessert.
November 14 Program today is presented by the Dispute Resolution Center....the DRC is a non-
profit corporation sponsored by the Houston Bar Association...they provide FREE alternative dispute
resolutions services to all residents of Harris County....Learn how they can handle your family, neigh-
bor, auto repair, landlord/tenant, consumer/merchant problems. The public is invited. Refreshments
will be served.
November 21 Program today is presented by the Texas Professional Hearing Center and Ian
Gillespie, audiologist and Karen Marsh, H.A.D. Lecture and question and answer session will be
followed with a light lunch.
November28 Program to be announced in the Baytown Sun.
December 5 No program today....over 75 "Lee College Senior Travelers" will be on a Western
Caribbean Carnival Cruise.
December 12 Come celebrate at a CHRISTMAS PARTY sponsored by Lee College, Commissioner
Jim Fonteno and Baytown Parks and Recreation Department, to be held at the Baytown Community
Center Auditorium. Holiday entertainment will be presented by the Ross S. Sterling High School
Swing Choir, the Houston Senior Choir, Holiday Style Show presented by San Jacinto Mall's
Palais Royal, a special strolling Madrigal Group, a visit by Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus (in their RED
convertible), lots of door prizes, and a seated full lunch. There is no charge, but a RESERVATION IS
A MUST. Call Lee College (after November 15) at 281-425-6416 and leave your name and number
or call Debbie Copeland (after November 15) at 281-452-7598.8:30 AM-12:30 PM
The class will be held two consecutive mornings on the main campus in Tech. Voc.Bldg. 1, Room
119B. You must register with check or money order only for this class. The $10 fee is payable to AARP.
This class is for anyone over 55 years of age and will be taught by Benny Beck. The class will satisfy all
Texas insurance requirements, but cannot be used for a ticket violation. Call 281-425-6311 to register.
