Text: "To all to whom these Presents shall come--Greeting: Know ye, that A. A. Beeville having produced a license duly granted under Art. 1644\a Acts of the Texas Legislature 1889 and having, in all respects, complied with the requirements of the law, is hereby granted this Permanent Certificate, Licensing him to engage in the practice of Dentistry.

A selection of items from the family of Alexander Archer Beville, a dentist from Amelia County, Virginia. In 1870 Beville and family moved to Waco, Texas, and according to several sources, he was the first dentist to reside and have a dental practice there.
