Fourteen public safety agencies will participate in a full-scale mass
casualty incident drill coordinated by Johnson County’s Emergency
Management Office.
The exercise begins at 7 a.m. and will take place at four locations. The
primary site will be Owen Oil Tools on County Road 1000 near Godley.
The other locations will be Texas Health Resources hospitals in
Cleburne and Burleson, and Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth
South.
The drill is designed to test the county’s emergency medical systems
ability to triage, treat and transport large numbers of victims with vari-
ous injuries. They will also test fire/rescue personnel’s ability to per-
form search and rescue operations. The goal is to test law enforcement
personnel’s ability to address an active shooter situation while keeping
fire/rescue and EMS personnel safe while allowing them to do their
jobs and testing these hospitals ability to provide necessary patient care
during a mass casualty incident.
Participating fire departments include Bono. Burleson. Cleburne.
Cresson. Johnson County Emergency Sendees District 1. Godley.
Grandview. Joshua and Keene. B) Lisa Hill

Laird Announces Candidacy
for State Representative
Grandview attorney Lyndon Laird today announced his candidacy for
Stale Representative for District 58. which includes Johnson and
Bosque Counties. He is running as a conservative Republican. Lyndon
was bom and raised in Johnson County and has lived in Texas all his
life. His parents and grandparents on both sides were farmers and
ranchers with roots in Johnson County stretching back 100 years. He is
a Baylor-trained attorney with 28 years of experience in listening to the
people of District 58. understanding their problems, and solving them.
As State Representative for District 58, Lyndon will use his life expe-
rience and good judgment to continue his service to all the people of
District 58.
Lyndon was raised in the Baptist church and educated at the Baptist-
affiliated Baylor University and Baylor Law School.
