T. V. Munson Collection
Thomas Volney Munson (September 26, 1853 - January 21, 1913), a renowned grape horticulturist is most well known for his contributions to the field of horticulture and rootstock development. His grape research and collection of native Texas rootstock were the impetus in saving the French wine industry. The French government bestowed on Munson, the Chevalier du Merite Agricole (The French Legion of Honor) for his contribution in saving the French wine industry.
