A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Taylor County Draft Board, Abilene, Texas, from Jas. H. Robertson, Continental Oil Company, Aspermont, Texas, dated February 16, 1942. Robertson requests a personal favor from Carswell to help place Miss Mildred Herring into a job in Abilene noting she was offered a job in Washington but that it is necessary she stay in Abilene. The reverse side of page 2 of this letter includes a handwritten name and address for James Claude Reid, 897 Cedar, Abilene.

This collection was assembled by Thomas Norwood Carswell (1887-1978) and contains correspondence throughout his life.
