Notes

Text of letter: Bellevue, Clay Co; Texas. March the 8th 1900. Mr. J. H. Major, Elreno, Okla.
Dear sir :-
Enclosed you will find a letter from one Mr. Lon Poling which will explain its self. As you are up in that part of the country, and probably you know something of the man, and can make a deal with him for all of that part of the Quilter Territory that L. D. has in his name. _Recollect_ that Lando will have to make the deed, or deeds, as his deed _is legally recorded in Washington_. I have his deed and can send it if necessary to Lando if you make a deal. I will say if you can make a deal for the entire interest that Lando has at any thing like a reasonable amount in cash you have my permision [sic] to do so and: remit my part of the cash to me with a complete statement of such transaction, but I don’t want any bee courses in Ark. And if you make a deal _don’t promise to furnish any sample frames more than the one that you left here_, for I haven’t the material to make them, and I don’t want to make any more of them for love nor money _at any price_. Whatever you do - do it so as not to beget any more lawsuits and confusion, and so you will not have to travel in that old sulphuric rut that you have so extensively experienced in the past. Respectfully, J.J. Click. P.S. I have not writen [sic] a word to Mr. Poling - but send his letter to you that you may answer it.
