Notes

Text on first page: To Papa Carpenter. “One of My Dearest Friends.”

Papa, I’ve been working on this at odd moments for 4 months. I hope you will like it. Since I think these pictures are very valuable now, I’m sure they should be preserved! When I go through Fort Davis this Christmas, I’m going to add pictures of Fort Davis today = “1962.” This will mean a difference of 52 years. While Ft. Davis has not grown as much in this length of time as some other Texas towns; still I’m sure you will see a big difference.

Papa, all 3 of us Bucher’s (Lee, David and I) think you are marvelous and simply wonderful. We have loved having you as our friend; and like so much you introducing us to your nice family. Do have a nice Christmas and remember == We love you.” Always - Billie, Lee, and David
