From the accompanying material: "this was the winning entry in a parade held in Caldwell [..] 2 girls on far L resemble Ruth and Marie Hale and seem to be the right age (b. 1898 & 1900, respectively) & if so, Mr. Cobb's son, Hope (b. 1895) may also be on the float; Hope's mother was Beulah Hope Cobb, first cousin to Ruth and Marie."
