Text of letter: "Abilene, Taylor Co., Texas, May 3rd 1890. To the Rector of the Protestant Episcopal Church, Waco. Rev. & Dear Brother. The bearer of this note, John Houston Morrow, has regularly attended the services of this church for the past year, he was for three months a member of my confirmation class. I am very much interested in him. He leaves Abilene to take a situation in Waco. I therefore commend him to your pastoral care and to the kindness of the members of your church. Fraternally Yours, Geo. C. Whyte."
