ciation (TREWA) is offering 12 $1000
scholarships to current TREWA mem-
bers and their children You can join
TREWA at the same time you submit a
scholarship application Dues are only

The objective of TREWA is to edu-
cate and create interest and understand-
ing of rural electric systems and issues
among the members and general public,
and to present a unified front for the
member-owned systems as they im-
prove the quality of life in rural Texas.

Each year Swisher Electric Coop-
erative awards two $500 scholarships.
The scholarships are available to active
Swisher Electric Cooperative members
and their immediate families who are at-
tending college
Completed applications and recom-
mendations are required to be returned
to Swisher Electric Cooperative by the
last Friday in February Winners will be
announced at the Swisher Electric An-
nual Meeting in March.
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED by the Commissioners Court of Swisher County that
ill outdoor burning is prohibited in Swisher County for 90 days from the date of
idoption of this Order, unless the restrictions are terminated earlier based on a
determination made by the Swisher County Commissioners Court This Order is
idopted pursuant to Local Government Code §352.081, and other applicable
itatutes This Order does not prohibit outdoor burning activities related to public
safety that are authorized by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for
1) firefighter training (2) public utility, natural gas pipeline or mining operations.
3) planting or harvesting of agricultural crops, or, (4) burns that are conducted b'
i prescribed burn manager certified under Section 153 048, Natural Resources
Code, and meet the standards of Section 153 047, Natural Resources Code
4-H members are young people
across America who are learn-

skills 4-H is about having fun,
learning, exploring and discover-
ing In 4-H, young people make
new friends, develop new skills,
become leaders and help shape

have to live in the country or show
