Notes

"Andrew J. Nelson and family were Swedish immigrants who settled in Williamson County in 1854. Nelson established extensive farming enterprises, and served in numerous official capacities with the Swedish Lutheran Church in the town of Round Rock until his death in 1895. The Nelson family is gathered on the first and second floor porches at the back of their house. Andrew Nelson is seated on the first-floor porch. The date the picture was taken is unknown but Andrew died in 1895. The date this print was made is also unknown."

"Other materials claim the house to be built in 1860. it's possible that a portion of the house was built in 1854 and then continually expanded until it gained its final look in 1860."

Handwritten on back: "Given to Helen Swenson in 1981 By Lucille Krisch, Triggs & Trees Library"
