Notes
"The Excerpts discuss an attempt to gift the Greenwood Masonic Institute, a school that started in 1866, to Southwestern University who refused the gift. Having failed, the property was gifted to Little River Presbytery for use as part of the Round Rock Institute. Then the building burned and the Little River Presbytery returned the gift. The issue in this report is whether the Round Rock Institute succeeded the Greenwood Institute. based on the records available at the time, the concluded answer was no. "
"At the time this was written, the Round Rock Institute was not considered a successor to the Greenwood Masonic Institute. Evidence and records found since the 1930s have changed that judgement."
