Description

Photograph of Tomy George (seated left) and Eddie Gossage (seated right) shaking hands. George has short dark hair and wears a black button-up shirt while Gossage has short brown hair and wears a blue polo shirt under a gray suit jacket. A table sits in front of the men and has on it two microphones, two rectangular wooden boxes, and two open black folders containing papers. Behind the two men are six other men lined up in front of a blue backdrop covered by a pattern of the Texas Motor Speedway name and logo. The men wear jumpsuits with a mixture of red, white, black and yellow colorations, each with a variety of logos decorating them. Most of the men hold up their hands to clap as George and Gossage shake hands. The label on the back of the photo identifies George as the founder of the Indy Racing League while Gossage is described as being the general manager of the Texas Motor Speedway. The label also describes their handshake as occurring after the men signed an agreement dealing with the future of the Indy Racing League at the Texas Motor Speedway and their races held at the location.
