Photograph of two people at the Terlingua Chili Cook-Off. He has short hair and wears a t-shirt, belted pants, and cowboy boots and has a bandana tied around his neck. Multiple flattened beer cans can be seen under the man's wooden palette, below the side his legs extend over. To the right of the man stands a woman with short hair who wears a t-shirt, pants, and sneakers. She also has a bandana around her neck and holds a wad of cloth in her right hand as she poses with her left hand on her hip. To the right of the woman and a little behind her is a cooler and what may be a propane tank with a cord looped around its top. Directly behind the woman, a few feet back, is a railroad crossing sign with "press" and "chili" being the only visible lettering on it. A third person stands behind the sign in ballcap hat and short-sleeved shirt. To the left of the third person and behind the man laying down is a collection of objects and a standing board. The objects include wooden boxes, plastic boxes, containers like cups, and a pot sitting over a small, circular structure set into the ground. The standing board is tall rectangular with a wheel painted near its bottom right corner and a curving line extending off of its top right corner. It also has the number "7240" painted near its right edge. The ground the people in the photo stand on is dirt with small loose rocks, while the background behind them and their objects is a hill with larger rocks and patches of tall grass.
