Audio interview ith Congressman Jim Mattox discussing his concerns about changes in society, young Americans political views, and the threat of Russia/Soviet Union's military and nuclear capacity. The bulk of the interview includes Mattox talking about the structure and process of Congress, the need to compromise and find solutions to balance out or neutralize differing views in legislation, and problems with special interest groups and lobbying influencing elections and political decisions. The clip concludes with Mattox sharing his political and social viewpoints, as well as autobiographical details that have influenced his workmanship and voting strategies. The second clip contains four different interviews conducted by NaDeane with the first interview including a discussion with Congressman Jim Mattox about speaking to the House and issues involving poverty and civil rights. The last three interviews cover social issues such as social service programs like healthcare and welfare, but the audio quality is low.
