Notes
The author of this item is Carolyn R. Itri [1922-1997]. Daughter of Stephen Itri and Elsie White, Carolyn was born in the beach town of Long Branch Monmouth, New Jersey. Carolyn and Nicholas met in 1942 and at the time of these letters, Carolyn was 22 and Nicholas was 26.

Letters written by Carolyn Itri to her future husband, Private Nicholas C. Soviero who served the United States Air Force 1942-1947 in the 20th Air Depot Group. The letters pertain to Itri's day-to-day activities on the home front in New Jersey. Some also include information about Soviero's activities in the war.
