Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Thomas S. Hura. Hura begins by speaking of life in Youngstown, Ohio, during the Great Depression. As soon as Hura graduated from high school in 1943, he was drafted into the Navy and sent for training at Great Lakes, Illinois.
