The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Gail Freeman. Freeman joined the Minnesota National Guard in 1940 and his unit was federalized in early 1941. His artillery unit, the 125th Field Artillery, was folded into the w34th Infantry Division and Freeman landed in Ireland in May 1942. Freeman served as a radio operator with a forward observer.
