The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Thomas Whetstone. Whetstone joined the Army sometime after 1942 and received basic training at Fort Hood. He was sent to Hawaii for jungle training and amphibious training. Upon completion, he was assigned to the 17th Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division, as a replacement.
