The District 9 Boxing Tournament
will Ik* held July *28 and 29, at the
House Park athletic field, Austin
Texas.
The District 0 includes the follow-
ing counties: Fayette. Bastrop, Cald.
well, Hayes, Travis. Lee, Burleson,
Milam, Williamson, Burnet, Llano,
Blanco, and Gillespie. All entrants
should immediately write Joe Prowse
Jr., District !• Director, in care of
the Austin Recusation Department.
No entry fee will be charged for the
participants. There will be champion-
ships declared in each of the follow-
ing weights: Flyweight, 112 pounds;
batamweight, lis pounds; £euther-
weigh-t, 1 U(> pounds; lightweight. 1 :?f>
pounds; welterweight, M7 pound-;
middleweight. H 0 p unds; liirht
heavyweight, 17f> pounds, and heavy
weigh t.
The winners of the district cham-
pionships will be awarded individual
trophies and the t ight to enter the
.-tate meet at San Antonio, August
11, 12, and 13. The tournament is
being sponsored by the Austin Re-
creation Department under the iuI.^s
and regulations of the Texas Amat-
eur Athletic Federation.
Headquarters, the night of the
