Sweet Little Maid

Description: "Just Girl" series no. 9 color postcard, depicting a woman in a large hat covered in pink flowers with a large bow tying it to her head. A poem on the front of the card reads, "'Sweet little maid with eyes of brown, If I ask your age will you call me down?' 'Oh no,' said she with a glance caressing, 'Dear little man, just keep on guessing.'" It is addressed to Miss Rosa Louise Dill, c/o Mrs. E.A. Dill, 629 Chickasha Ave, Chickasha, Okla. Description: Letter from Sally Thornhill to Mary Moore that has pages missing. The only has pages present are 5 through 8. Sally says that Mattie Franklin married a Mr. Walker. She advises Mary to either rent out her farm or sell it. She said she heard that Linnet and Claude White are planning a trip to Tennessee and asks that they come and visit her. She said that there are "many old cronic [sic] cases through the country and many deaths."

She also lists the presents she has received from relatives. Alice writes Lillian being at home until school starts in the spring; clothing; and that Mayme married Jo St. John. She updates Mary on the activities of family and friends.
