Smither's Photo Lamp Shade

Description: Photograph printed on a lamp shade by William Smithers. The photograph appears to be a group of cowboys on horseback riding down a rugged slope, most likely in West Texas. This is considered a collectible item. Though an outfit in New Mexico tried to patent these photo lamp shades, Smithers was the first to create them and proved it in court with a letter from President Roosevelt thanking him for the lamp he had given him years prior to the patent dispute.
