Description: Photograph of a two-story hipped-roof house with wood siding that served as the Missouri Governor's house from 1863-1865 during the Civil War. The Governor rented it from Mrs. Mary Key. It was located at 204 East Crockett St. Architectural details indicate that the house was expanded and updated after the Civil War, later in the 19th century. Inscription in ink on the back of the photograph states: "Home of the governor of Missouri during the Civil War 1866."
