Description: Photograph of students of various ages posed in roughly five rows outside of a wooden building with a broken window visible in the center top of the photo. Many of the boys are wearing dark suits and ties and the girls are all wearing long sleeved dresses of various patterns. Two boys in the middle of the foremost row are barefoot. Two students are identified on the back of the photo as Willis Harris and Emma Harris.

Description: Letter from John Jeremiah Osterhout to his father, John Patterson Osterhout, regarding a trip Jeremiah and his mother were taking to visit family out of state. Jeremiah updated his father on how their family was doing and informed him that he was in need of glasses. Jeremiah said he had been feeling homesick and wanted to receive letters from home often.

Description: Letter from Ellen Lawson Dabbs to John Patterson Osterhout about her daughter, Junia. She ended her letter by writing that she had gone to Austin, Texas because she was interested in the Girl's Industrial School. Included is an envelope addressed to "Judge J. P. Osterhout."
