[Renovation plan for Business Administration Building]

Description: Presentation of a plan titled "Request for New Construction and Major Renovation" that would overhaul the then Business Administration Building, now Sage Hall, to bring the functions up-to-date. The presentation includes floorplans of buildings, and maps of the campus as well as tables detailing the enrollment numbers for students in the program. At the end two options are presented, one for an entirely new building and another for an addition to the existing building.

[Oak Street Hall, 1951]

Description: Photograph of Oak Street Hall at North Texas State College. The east wing was the original part of the building, build in 1941-1942, as a two story, brick veneer apartment house erected by Mrs. W. J. McConnell. It was built to house one hundred women. A later addition increased the space and allowed another one hundred and twenty-five to be housed.

[Big Fire Flares Up Saturday during demolishing work at Tannery]

Description: Document of an article from the Herald Times regarding a large fire that occurred at the developing Tex Tan in South Yoakum. The building was set on fire due to a mistake during the demolition process of the tannery building in order to construct the new Tex Tan location. Firefighters went through strenuous work in order to put out the fire and were successful as no injuries were reported.
