LifeFlight: Debut in Cleveland

Description: Photograph of first life flight from Hermann Hospital landing in Cleveland, Texas. This opened a new chapter in emergency medicine. Outlying communities from Houston, had previously sent any emergency care that needed trauma care by ambulance. Now they could be stablized and in the Medical Center in minutes.

[Storm Damage at Hospital]

Description: Postcard of storm damage at U. S. General Hospital #15 on Rincon Street in Corpus Christi, Texas. The brick building is several stories high with damage to the first two floors. The entire first floor was washed away by flood waters. A staircase in the center of the building is falling down. There is a group of damaged trees beside it.
