The Masonic Hospital stands in the background. Before becoming the Masonic Hospital, the hospital was known as the Rolston Hospital located at 918 N Pieras Street, corner of Montana Avenue in central El Paso. The hospital was bought by the Masons in 1923 and renamed the Masonic Hospital in that same year.

[U.S. Soldiers at the International Bridge]

Description: Photograph of a group of U.S. soldiers at the El Paso International Bridge on the U.S. side in 1916, preparing to go elsewhere. Each soldier has their rifle, a backpack, canteen, ammunition, and a distinct belt with pouches to hold items in. Description: Photograph of a U.S. Army mechanized vehicle. An early version of an unidentified armored plated vehicle moves along a street heading north - the Franklin Mountain are in the background. Many armored vehicles made their debut during the Mexican Revolution. Perhaps the Chihuahuan desert was used as a testing ground since many of these same vehicles were later used in mass quantities during WWI.
