Description: An honor guard of three military men and one civilian carries in a coffin at the mass funeral service for the victims of the 1947 Texas City Disaster held at Memorial Park on June 22, 1947. Rows of identical coffins are lined up at the burial site. Funeral wreaths stand at intervals near the coffins and each casket is decorated with a spray of flowers.
