Opening of Westgate Cinema

Description: Photograph of the opening of Westgate Cinema on South First Street in Abilene, Texas. Westgate Cinema was owned and operated by General Cinemas Corporation. The cinema originally had a single screen and later, it was divided into two screens. An awning spans the width of the building. Text on the top of the building says "Cinema." In the background, there are cars and another building. This building has since been demolished.
