She also asks if Pierre Chardine remembers her and reminisces about spending time with him during a visit. She is sorry that the cigars she sent to France with a friend never reached him.

Description: Letter from Alfred Charles Bossom to Daniel W. Kempner thanking him for spending an evening with him at the Cafe de Paris and complimenting him on how close his family is. He expresses his disappointment at not being able to visit the states anytime soon but says he passed on the Kempner's happy messages to his sons. Mr. Bossom ends the letter by sending his best wishes to Mr. Kempner, his wife and their daughter, Mary Jean and her husband.

They also inform him that they will be unable to reserve a return voyage cabin for Mr. Kempner's daughter, Mary Jean Thorne, as they are only able to sell westbound cabins on a round-trip basis.
