Description: Letter from John Sayles to J. A. Martin discussing a previous letter written by Martin in which he states that in another previous letter he forgot to enclose the deed between himself and Cargill. Sayles states that he has yet to receive any other letter from Martin, but it may have been lost somewhere. Sayles mentions he has ordered abstract from Mac Sayles' land but has not received that yet.

Description: Letter to J. T. Robison requesting advice on what papers are on file with regard to multiple tracts of land surveyed for the Public Free School fund. The writer lists all the tracts of land, most of which are purchased by K. C. Tucker and later transferred to Perry or Mac Sayles. The writer also asks for advice as to whether or not these lands are in good standing in the records of Robison's office and whose name they are registered in.

[Letter to Barry G. Sayles, December 15, 1911]

Description: Letter to Barry G. Sayles discussing an abstract given by his son, John Sayles, to the writer but was rejected by Pennington as it did not show record title in John Sayles' name. The deed for the lands discussed do not say how much land is conveyed. Part of the land conveyed by Barry and his wife to their son, John, is part of the Horatic Chrisman League.
