[Letter from Laura Jernigan to Charles and Mary Moore, November 30, 1896]

Description: Letter from Laura Jernigan to Charles and Mary Moore in which she informs them that Linnet is doing well in school with Lizzie Jernigan. She states that Jack is serving on the grand jury again. She updates them on the weather and family and friends. She also writes about soap making. It looks like one sheet of paper is missing from the letter.

Revolving Book-Holder.

Description: Patent for a "combined desk and cabinet especially designed for students' use to obviate the scattering about of books when writing, studying, or making reference thereto" (lines 8-12). The are two rotating sections: a many-faced book-rest, and a cabinet above it where books can be stored. There is also a sliding writing-board underneath the desk.
